RCRA offers four levels (U8, U10, U12, U14) for age and skill appropriate development and competition.  Evaluations are held for forming teams in the U10, U12 & U14 divisions.

U8 is an in-house league for the girls to develop hitting, catching, and throwing skills.  Pitching, and hitting a pitched softball are introduced at this level, with no emphasis on balls and strikes.  A beginning awareness in softball strategy is begun at this level.

U10 (and up) begins play in the MBSC - Mason Softball League, with leagues from recreation to competitive from communities around the Lansing area.  A heavier emphasis on pitching is introduced, as players continue to build on fundamentals and strategy.  Game ball is an optic yellow 11" COR .47 MHSAA approved softball.  Field size and rules vary depending on recreational versus competitive play.

U12 builds on the game aspects taught in U10 with a larger playing field and live base running.  Continued fundamentals and game strategy are emphasized.  Game ball is an optic yellow 12" COR .47 MHSAA approved softball.  Field size and rules vary depending on recreational versus competitive play.

U14 follows U12 with a 40' mound and 80' bases.  Advanced fundamentals and game strategy are taught and reinforced.
